Abstract

Even if, apparently, society has developed a lot, poetry like- The WasteLand by T.S. Eliot portrays a contradictory image. With a critical look if we gaze at the present society, it seems that the darkness has almost enveloped it. The word darkness metaphorically points out- the boundless desire of human being, oppression and torture of patriarchy on female beings, caste system, class system, self satisfaction, communalism, lacking of humanity, struggle for power-centre, scarcity of the value of relationship, lacking of morality and ethics, mental frustration and fear, existential crisis, and the use of religion for social destruction. For removing this social evil and material darkness (social injustice), it is presumed that we need a new revolution through the illumination of pure knowledge for transforming the world into a utopian state. The Aghora Philosophy of Hindu Religion appears to be a new revolutionary thought for bringing social millennium to this darkness-enveloped at nearly destructive society. If we go through the Aghora tradition, we can acquit ourselves with the information that the fifth incarnation of Lord Shiva (main Lord of Hindu Religion) is Aghora Or Aughar Or Aghor, inscribed in the Rudradhyaya Chapter of the Yajur Veda in which Lord Shiva has mingled Himself with the Female Energy Or Shakti. The follower of this tradition of Lord Shiva is recognised as Aghori. The word Aghora is a Sanskrit word which means free from fear or darkness. Instead of having controversy, on the account of Aghoris of Banaras (Uttar Pradesh), this Aghora tradition has been started by Lord Shiva Himself and was propounded further by Jagat Guru Dattatreya. The main aim of this ascetic is having controlled over senses, detached from any material attachment, realizing the inner self or soul to be merged with Supreme Power or Lord Shiva or the whole Universe for being free from the recycling of birth and death. Aghoris believe in non-dualism, non-violence, and eternal peace. They urge, Lord Shiva exists in each and every element of this world, so to embrace the whole Universe means to unify with Lord Shiva. It is known, these ascetics are the possessor of so many mystic powers, and are found basically in isolated places like- cremation ground. They perform mainly three sadhanas- Shiva Sadhana, Shav Sadhana, Samshan Sadhana.  Satish Georgy Kashyap picturing Aghori Mastana and Aghora philosophy-inspired Yogi as a tool, circulating the novel with the fragrance of Aghorism, stimulates a protest against all social darkness. Mulk Raj Anand (Subaltern writer) having powered an attack against caste system, and others through his novel Untouchable (1935) has wished to grab humanism simultaneously. Kashyap through his novel- Holy SmokeIt's A Godman applies Aghorism to demolish social discrimination and all social injustice putting emphasis on humanism, have mirrored a new revolution for constructing social millennium.
