Abstract

Misings are the second largest tribal community in Assam, mostly found in the rural area with agriculture as the main occupation. Rearing pig in traditional way is a part of life to this tribe. However with the introduction of the Livelihood skill development training, the pig rearing farmers have been benefited from their livestock rearing. The paper studies the impact of the skill development training on the piggery and analyze the difference in the economic status after and before the implementation of the skill in farming. There is a great scope of economical benefit through the scientific pig rearing.
