Modern organizations face increasing challenges related to ethical leadership, self-management, decision-making, employee well-being, and sustainable performance. These challenges have created a need for management approaches that combine organizational effectiveness with ethical and human values. The Bhagavad Gita, although rooted in ancient Indian philosophy, provides principles that have been interpreted as relevant to contemporary management. This review examines the relevance of Bhagavad Gita wisdom to modern management from the perspective of Indian ethos. Particular attention is given to Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and the three Gunas—Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. The review also examines existing literature on Bharatiya management, Indian philosophical values, ethical leadership, decision-making, organizational culture, and social responsibility. The analysis indicates that Gita-based principles can complement contemporary management by emphasizing self-discipline, purposeful action, knowledge, ethical responsibility, and balanced behaviour. The study concludes that integrating Indian ethos with modern management may provide a holistic approach to individual and organizational development
